This place seems to slowly be growing on my babygirl as well: I wouldn’t go entirely out of my way here, but it’s a decent treat if you should find yourself in the neighborhood. I appreciate the Vegan options in the not so Vegan-friendly town of Napa. It’s a small little place with minimal seating. Almost as good as the ones Whole Foods used to sell in their bakery. Those little morsels are as good a Vegan find as anywhere. The real reason for the extra star is their Vegan muffins. Although you don’t get the same value in the cookies. They are a nice treat to share with your *ahem* sweetie pie *ahem* They also have Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookies that are large and tasty. They seem to be much more moist now, the frosting is still overly sweet, but you don’t need to eat it all. 25ish? Then again, they are pretty freaking HUGE! After several visits, these cupcakes are getting better, or my standards are getting lower. Also the cost is nearly the same as two cupcakes elsewhere. It was dry, not moist, and the frosting too sweet. Our first visit, the cupcake while massive, was lacking flavor. Melted for a light brunch, then Ritual Coffee to enjoy our muffin or cupcake that we get from Sweetie Pies. When we spend time in Napa, we often hit up the Vegan trifecta. Colorful wood chairs and tables, including a long communal table and a few tables for two. We enjoyed the cute country décor while we sat inside on my Birthday. :) One more thing, the staff was friendly, and gets you stuff quickly. They have soy milk for my vegan friends out there. I also had a latte again, and it was fine again. 50 for it, so I expected more bang for my buck. The chips were tiny, not the big chips you usually get in big cookies. It was ok, but again, a bit dry tasting, and not really chocolately tasting. I came back on Tuesday, right before closing time, to buy a vegan chocolate chip cookie - I just HAD to try it. I was envious of the regular cupcakes! They looked fresher and more fun to choose from all the kinds. They only had one type for vegans, and they are kept on a plate on a lower shelf out of the way on the side case. As Rachel said in her review here, the Vegan cupcake was a bit underwhelming, it was a bit dry, and the icing was kind of dried out looking and tasting. I had seen Sweetie Pies mentioned somewhere, and had read these reviews, so I knew this was the spot to get my cupcake. I didn’t find a vegan cupcake, much less ANY Vegan dessert at the market (they really need to get some). I came here on my Birthday, after we had lunch on Sunday at Oxbow Market.
